Privacy policy

What Memogo does

Parents forward selected school emails to a private Memogo email address. We summarise each email and send the summary to the WhatsApp number(s) the parent registered with us. Parents manage their account at memogo.app.

What we collect

  • Emails you forward to us: sender, subject, body and attachments. We only receive what you choose to forward; we never access your mailbox.
  • Your login email, used only to sign you in (we send a code or link; there is no password).
  • Your WhatsApp number(s) and the messages you send to Memogo on WhatsApp (for example "JOIN" or "STOP").
  • Your children's first names and classes, if you add them, so summaries can say which child an email is about.
  • Summaries we generate, and delivery records (whether a message was sent, delivered or read).

How we use it

Only to produce and deliver your summaries and calendar links, and to operate and troubleshoot the service. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use your content to train models.

Who processes it

  • Postmark (email receiving), Railway, Netlify and Supabase (hosting, database and sign-in), Resend (sign-in emails), Anthropic (the AI service that writes the summary), and Meta WhatsApp Business Platform (message delivery). Each receives only what it needs for its part.

Retention

The raw email (body, headers and attachments) is deleted within 24 hours of being summarised. Summaries, extracted events and delivery records are kept so you can refer back to them; you can delete everything at any time from Settings.

Children

School emails may mention children. We process that information only to summarise the email for the child's parent or guardian, and we delete the raw email within 24 hours.

Your rights

You can pause the service from Settings or by replying STOP on WhatsApp, and delete your account and all its data from Settings at any time. To access or correct your data, email [email protected]. See also our data deletion instructions.
